Named for Japanese-born artist Teruko Yokoi, who once lived and created formative works within the hotel, this subterranean space channels the layered history of its surroundings. At its center is the original backbar from Hotel Okura’s Orchid Bar in Tokyo, salvaged and reassembled in New York. Wabi-sabi influences meet raw materials—antique limestone, salvaged wood, indigo-dyed denim—in an atmosphere that honors both the artist’s spirit and the space’s past life as a legendary nightclub.
